The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will hold the “Jeju local crowdfunding” both online and offline from Oct. 26 to Nov. 24 to promote the products of Jeju small business owners and expand sales channels.
This event was designed to help small business owners in Jeju sell products that highlight local characteristics and jointly promote local commercial districts. Participants include “Baram-eseuchiun-da,” which makes side dishes using Jeju’s agricultural and marine products, and “Cacaofamily,” which uses Kakao directly roasted in Jeju. Consumers can purchase products from participating brands at discounts of up to 20,000 won.
Online sales will take place on the Naver Happybean funding page. Offline, two sales fairs will be held at the Jeju LPP (Local Player Platform) on Oct. 29–Nov. 1 and Nov. 4–6. On Nov. 5, in connection with the “1st Local Startup Festa in Jeju,” products from local startups will be showcased. At the opening ceremony of the “Korea Grand Festival” in Andong, North Gyeongsang, on Oct. 31, the funded products are also set to be introduced.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) has supported small business owners’ fundraising and market expansion since 2023 through the “Our Neighborhood Crowdfunding” program. The number of participating small businesses reached 1,746 in 2025, raising a total of 21.93 billion won. This year, through September, 1,066 companies raised 13.29 billion won.
Kim Jeong-ju, small business policy director at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), said, “We will expand private capital linkages and support for sales channels and promotion so that small business owners can grow together with local residents and the entire local commercial district, beyond individual stores, can gain competitiveness.”
