We’ve noticed a recent uptick in the number of interesting music-tech projects crowdfunding on Kickstarter. There are two more to report on today.
Remusidy is a platform that “merges AI voice licensing, royalty tracking, and publishing administration all in one place”.
It is planning to use tech from OpenAI, Adobe and ElevenLabs for its service, but promises that “we do not use unlicensed artist data or copyrighted works”.
The second project that has just launched is from a startup called Nquist.
Its pitch is that it “isn’t just launching a record store café. We’re building a micro-manufacturing music makerspace; a place where anyone can walk in, stream any album, and walk out with a personalized 12″ hybrid record CD holder made with recycled plastic, UV-printed artwork, laser-engraved text, and studio-quality sound on CD or individually lathed premium personalized vinyl”.
Both projects have been careful with their goals: Remusidy’s target is $10k while Nquist’s is $25k.
