Jewish-inspired deli heads to Williamsville

Total cost for the Main Street project is just over $500,000 to build the kitchen and bar.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Bloom & Rose has closed out a crowdfunding campaign, successfully raising $204,130 from 125 investors in support of a new suburban home.

The Jewish-inspired deli known for knishes has operated for several years from leased space in Chandlerville, where it holds classes and produces a range of products. Plans call for moving to 5365 Main St. in Williamsville, a former Monro Muffler, where it plans to build a sit-down restaurant and deli to replace its commissary kitchen.

Instead of starting with a traditional funding model, the company offered investment opportunities in the business through the Honeycomb Credit platform, with investors offered a 13.25% interest rate for a 60-month term.
