“I want to try crowdfunding.”
Even if you think that, you don’t know where to start.
If you look at sites like CAMPFIRE, various projects are posted.
It feels like something I could do too.
But when you actually try to start,
“What kind of plan should I make?”
“How do I decide the target amount?”
“What should I write on the page?”
You start having questions one after another.
There is also a way to ask an expert for support.
But there are people who can’t afford that much budget, right?
I believe that even such people should have the option to challenge crowdfunding.
So this time, “Practical Crowdfunding Course You Can Do Yourself” was created.
Today, I will write about why I created this course and who I want to use it.
I myself failed miserably in my first crowdfunding attempt
The first time I challenged crowdfunding was in 2017.
The target amount was 1 million yen.
The result was about 30,000 yen.
It was a huge failure.
But from that experience, I felt the potential of the crowdfunding mechanism and started studying it on my own.
Since 2018, I have been working as a crowdfunding support professional.
I have been involved in over 150 projects so far.
I have been involved in over 250 million yen in total support.
In that time, I have met many different challengers.
People whose plans are not yet organized.
People who are not good at social media.
People who have a product but do not know how to communicate it.
Each person has different worries.
However, there are common points where people doing crowdfunding for the first time tend to stumble.
If you can create a page, will crowdfunding succeed?
When doing crowdfunding for the first time, I think the part that feels most difficult is creating the page.
Preparing photos, writing text, and setting up rewards.
Once this is completed, you can finally start crowdfunding.
But what I want to convey most is,
just because the page is complete does not mean you will gather support.
that is the point.
In fact, there were challengers who thought they would get support immediately after launching, but received no support at all.
Just because you post on a crowdfunding platform does not mean that a large number of people will automatically find you.
In many cases, the first people to support you are those you are already connected to, such as family, friends, acquaintances, and past customers.
Support comes from those people, and the support amount and number of supporters increase.
Seeing that movement, people who did not know the challenger also find it easier to consider supporting.
That is why preparation before the launch is important in crowdfunding.
Think about who will support you before the launch
For example, suppose the target amount is 1 million yen.
I want to raise 300,000 yen in support on the first day of the launch.
When you think that way,
“How will you raise that 300,000 yen?”
Have you thought that far ahead?
Who will you reach out to?
What kind of rewards will you prepare?
Who will you share the project with before the launch?
If you launch without thinking about these things, you will end up panicking later.
I believe that crowdfunding does not start on the launch day.
How much you can prepare before the launch.
That is what greatly influences the results.
Of course, preparing does not guarantee success.
But there is a big difference compared to launching without any preparation.
What is necessary to proceed with crowdfunding on your own
So, what should you learn to start crowdfunding on your own?
I believe that just learning how to create a page is not enough.
For example,
-
Turning what you want to do into a project
-
Thinking about who you want to have support you
-
Designing the target amount and rewards
-
Creating the crowdfunding page
-
Creating touchpoints with supporters before the launch
-
Decide what to do while it is live
-
Think about the response after it ends
You need to proceed with these things one by one.
The important thing is not to memorize a lot of knowledge.
It is about being able to apply it to your own project and actually proceed with the preparation.
I believe this is the key.
That is why I created a 12-chapter practical course.
In the “Do-It-Yourself Crowdfunding Practical Course” I created this time, I have organized what I have thought about in the field so far into a format that even beginners can learn in order.
Starting with the basics of crowdfunding,
Project planning.
Target amount.
Reward design.
How to choose a platform.
Page creation.
SNS and supporter building.
Management while live.
And, even the response after the crowdfunding ends.
It is an online teaching material that you can learn in 12 chapters.
Each chapter has PDF materials and worksheets prepared.
Also, I have made it possible to use AI when necessary to organize your own experiences and thoughts as you proceed.
It is not just for reading, but a format where you actually write down your own project and proceed with the preparation.
Even those who have not yet decided on a specific project can practice using a mock project.
Why I made a course without individual support
I am currently also providing individual support for crowdfunding.
Thinking about projects together, having meetings, and creating pages.
Of course, there are people who need such support.
However, not everyone needs individual support.
“I want to study on my own first.”
“I want to try doing it myself as much as I can.”
“I don’t have the budget to hire a professional, but I want to take on the challenge.”
I think there are people like that.
That is why this time, I have created materials that you can proceed with at your own pace, without individual Zoom consultations or individual editing.
It might not be suitable for those who want to proceed while asking questions about things they don’t understand each time.
But for those who want to think, research, and move forward while working with their own hands, I believe this will be an option.

There is more than one way to take on a challenge.
When I first tried crowdfunding, I only raised about 30,000 yen against a goal of 1 million yen.
But it was precisely because of that failure that I have my current job.
That is why I want those who are about to take on a challenge to start as well-prepared as possible.
There are ways to proceed with an expert.
There are also ways to learn and proceed on your own.
The important thing is to choose the method that suits you.
Turning ‘I want to try crowdfunding someday’ into concrete preparation.
I hope this course can be one of those options.
Today’s Step
If you are interested in crowdfunding right now, please take a moment to think about it.
‘What do I want to achieve with crowdfunding?’
I want to raise funds.
I want to create a new product.
I want to start a shop.
I want to take action for someone else.
It is fine if it is still vague.
First, try putting it into a single sentence.
Crowdfunding preparation can start from there.
