LAFAYETTE — Westbound & Down Brewing Inc. has launched a new equity crowdfunding round to finance the purchase and buildout of a restaurant and taproom in Wheat Ridge.
The brewery plans to purchase a 4,000-square-foot building at 5540 W. 29th Ave., near Sloans Lake, with plans to open in late 2026 or early 2027.
Westbound & Down got its start in Idaho Springs in 2025 but since has expanded to the Front Range. The company purchased the former Endo Brewing Co. space at 2755 Dagny Way in Lafayette in 2021, which now serves as the brewery’s headquarters and primary production and packaging facility.
The brewery also operates in Aspen, Basalt and in the Dairy Block in downtown Denver.
The Wheat Ridge location will operate in two adjacent buildings, with 18 draft lines, a 1,600-foot rooftop patio and a full kitchen offering pizza, sandwiches and other pub fare.
“This is about meeting demand with intention,” CEO and Director of Brewing Operations Jake Gardner said in a press release. “Denver has long been one of our strongest regions, but we haven’t had a true home there — until now. This new location will bring our beer, food, and hospitality under one roof in a space designed for connection while helping accelerate retail adoption in Denver and beyond.”
Westbound & Down, which previously raised $1.2 million in an equity crowdfunding round, filed a Form C with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Tuesday for a new offering of up to $3.76 million. The offering is for Class B common stock.
Expansion to Wheat Ridge will support Westbound’s plan to quadruple brewing capacity to 19,000 barrels by 2028, the company said. Westbound also plans to enter the Southwest, Midwest and Pacific Northwest markets in 2026 and the East and West Coasts in 2027.
