The RingConn Gen 2 has gone live on Kickstarter, and has already broken the $1m barrier with three days.
RingConn has launched its second-gen smart ring, the RingConn Gen 2, on crowdfunding platforms, and it’s been a roaring success.
Typically cautious about covering crowdfunding campaigns, we note that RingConn delivered well with its first-gen ring, and we’re already wearing the RingConn Gen 2 ahead of a full review.
The company has generated over 7,000 orders, with over £1m pledged in just a few days, offering a 30% discount off the $299 price tag (bringing it to $209).

Battery life is the biggest change for the RingConn Gen 2, and is jumping from up to seven days to what would be an industry-leading 12 days, while the original ring’s thickness (2.6mm) and weight (3-5g, depending on size) are being reduced to 2mm and 2-3g, respectively.
It’s also IP68 rated, with 10ATM (100m) water resistance.
The RingConn Gen 2 also boasts AI health analysis and tracking, and measures body temperature, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels (SpO2), stress levels, and sleep patterns. It also brings sleep apnea detection, and claims 90.7% accuracy.
We were impressed by the RingConn Gen 1 in our review time, but while the hardware excelled, it was the software experience that limited the device. And in our time with the RingConn Gen 2, that is still an on-going issue.
The Gen 2 comes in silver, gold, and black, with a headline feature of a 12-day battery life. The slim and light build of the RingConn Gen 2, and the aggressive price, presents a strong proposition that should get competitors like Oura and Samsung to take notice.
